Humanika Manifest

An Invitation to Collaborate
Humanika is the name for what we are building: a bridge between what technology can do and what human beings and living systems actually need.
We do not need another application created only because it can be built.
We do not need another organization that exists only to maintain itself.
We need coherence.
Why Humanika?
Because the world has become loud.
Information is everywhere, yet meaning is increasingly difficult to preserve. Technology accelerates while people are often left exhausted, distracted, or invisible.
Humanika exists to explore and develop systems that restore rather than deplete.
We bring technological progress, ecology, local knowledge, and human dignity into the same design process.
Our objective is not to choose between nature and development.
It is to build forms of development that understand themselves as part of nature.
Our Word
- Technology with measure
We support solutions that are quiet, efficient, understandable, and proportionate to the problem they address.
Technology should reduce unnecessary complexity rather than force people to adapt to its noise.
- Digital ecology
Attention is part of the environment.
Artificial intelligence should support human initiative, not replace it. It should filter noise, clarify options, and return agency to the person using it.
A system that captures attention while claiming to serve its user is not neutral.
- Open knowledge
We believe in open standards, traceable sources, and knowledge that can circulate responsibly.
Knowledge that is locked away decays.
Knowledge that is shared, tested, corrected, and attributed can grow.
Openness does not mean abandoning authorship.
It means preserving the path through which understanding developed.
- Support for those made invisible
Assistive technology is one of Humanika’s central commitments.
If technology cannot improve the independence, safety, communication, and quality of life of people whose needs are often overlooked, then its progress remains incomplete.
A human-centred system reveals its values most clearly through the way it serves those with the least institutional visibility.
- Regeneration through local partnership
Humanika does not arrive with finished answers for places it has not yet understood.
We listen first.
Projects should be developed with local communities, civic associations, researchers, craftspeople, engineers, and ecological groups.
The people who live with a problem must remain participants in designing its solution.
- Ideas remain open to evidence
Humanika allows ambitious proposals to exist without presenting them as completed achievements.
A development concept is not a verified technology.
A promising mechanism is not yet a field result.
We preserve original ideas, mark their status clearly, and allow evidence to validate, revise, pause, or reject them.
The Invitation
We are not large.
We are at the beginning.
Our first call is for collaborators: engineers, researchers, ecological associations, educators, parents, artists, local communities, and people who sense that better systems are possible.
We seek people willing to build carefully, test honestly, and think beyond institutional habits.
Humanika Switzerland provides the first civic and organizational frame. A partner association in Serbia is planned as the next local node.
